General Information
Does my child need to be potty trained?
Do you have a video of your summer camp?
Be sure to watch our summer camp video below for a glimpse into a week at summer camp!
How do I sign up for camp?
All of our registrations are completed online. We do not accept registrations done via mail, the phone, in person or at a camp location. Please note that the deadline for registering for a camp is Friday before camp starts (but our camps start selling out in February, so don’t wait that long!). You may click HERE to begin registration.
What if I want to register but my child will not be four until this summer?
If your child is only 3 years old at this time and will not be four until this summer, we will accept their registration as long as they will be entering PreK4 in the fall. Please note that children going into PK3 classes in the fall (three year olds) or that turn 4 years old after the summer are not eligible.
Additionally, all campers must be COMPLETELY POTTY TRAINED. Campers must be able to take care of all of their restroom needs independently. Our classrooms do not have attached restrooms, and counselors are not permitted to assist campers in the restrooms.
Can friends and siblings be placed in the same group?
If friends and siblings want to be in the same group, please make sure that they are registered for the same week at the same location and in the same camp. Please note that we can not discuss another camper’s schedule. Please confirm their status with their parent directly.
When does Summer Camp registration close?
If space is available, registration closes at 11:59 PM the Friday night before the camp week starts, and camps will not show up in Active after this time. You may also email us over the weekend to inquire about last minute registrations for the upcoming week- if space is available, a $20 late registration fee applies.
In 2022, all camps were sold out by early May; with over 1,000 campers on waitlists…..so don’t procrastinate if you see a session that your camper will enjoy!
How do I subscribe to your email list?
You can subscribe to our mailing list by using the below form. Please note that you will receive a confirmation email that you must respond to, in order to confirm your subscription:
What should my camper bring to camp?
Each camper should bring a lunch, 1-2 snacks, and a refillable water bottle each day. Sunscreen must be applied prior to dropoff and a hat is recommended. Use of electronic devices are not allowed during camp hours. For a more detailed look at how to prepare for your camp week, please review the Camper Welcome Packet sent via email in late spring/early summer.
Minecraft Campers: see info HERE
F/X Zombies Campers: need to bring an old button down shirt
Will my child receive a camp T-shirt?
A Club SciKidz T-shirt is included with each camp registration. If your child is registered for 3 weeks of camp with us, they’ll receive 1 t-shirt each week of camp! You may purchase extra t-shirts during the online registration process for $12 each.
Campers are required to wear their Club SciKidz camp t-shirt each day of camp, because doing science is MESSY! Campers are also known to spill their lunch, get dirt on their clothes while outside etc. Camper t-shirts also add an additional layer to our campus security. Camper t-shirts are distributed in the camp classroom on Monday mornings, and campers are given time to change shirts in the restrooms.
Our family’s vacation does not allow my child to attend for the entire week. Can they attend for part of the week?
While we feel that in order to gain the most from their camp experience students should be present each day of camp, we do understand that scheduling conflicts do occur. Please be aware that we do not pro-rate for the days your child is absent and full tuition is required regardless of your child’s attendance.
Safety Management
Can I eat lunch with my child at camp?
For your child’s safety, parents are not permitted to eat lunch with their child at camp. We do not currently have the ability to do realtime background checks on visitors, so for that reason visitors are not permitted.
Parents can temporarily check out their child for lunch (with the Family PIN) and go sit elsewhere on the campus to enjoy lunch together.
How is the pick-up process from summer camp secure?
Safety is our top priority and we do everything we can to have a safe, fun and secure camp. During online registration, you will create a unique 4 digit PIN for your family.
Please note that if you wish to have another family member or friend pickup your child from camp, they must know the code as well. We will release the child to anyone who knows your Family’s PIN, since only the parent who registered the camper would have given it to them.
What if someone else will pickup or dropoff my child?
If you wish to have another family member or friend pickup your child from camp then they must present or know the FAMILY PIN for your child. You do not have to add them to a pickup list as only you know the code.
Does my child need to be potty trained?
Yes, all campers must be completely potty trained and able to use the restroom without assistance. Since we lease space from churches and schools, classrooms usually do NOT have attached single restrooms. Our counselors are not permitted to assist campers in the restroom. Our staff closely monitors the campers’ restroom breaks to ensure hand-washing and appropriate behavior is occurring. If you have further questions, please contact us at hello@clubscikidzdallas.com.
Do campers have naptime/rest time?
No, our campers do not take naps or have rest time. Our days are jam-packed with FUN! We do offer a half-day option (9am-1pm) for our PreK & Kinder campers who may not be ready for a full day of camp.
What general safety measures do you have in place?
Safety is our number one goal at Club SciKidz. We can’t have fun doing science unless our campers are safe!!
All of our campers are supervised 100% of the time (except while in the restroom). We try to keep our ratio at 10 campers:1 counselor (or 9:1 for the PreK & Kinder campers)and with 1-2 site directors on campus at all times. Each camp location has a number of staff that are trained in CPR and First Aid. There is also a first aid kit available, as well as personal protective equipment.
All staff go through emergency and crisis management training, as well as basic classroom behavior management. Staff are never allowed to be alone with children. Campers are required to abide by the “buddy rule” so that they are never alone on a campus.
All staff are thoroughly background checked and receive training on sexual abuse awareness and prevention.
How does Club SciKidz deal with the summer heat?
Safety measures include:
- Children at all camp sites will have regular access to water fountains. Campers should remember to bring their own water bottles and to fill up throughout the day.
- Club SciKidz counselors will plan lower activity games/activities when the sun is the strongest and will take advantage of shaded areas throughout the day.
- Parents are encouraged to apply sunscreen to your camper’s exposed skin prior to dropoff each morning.
- If sunscreen is packed with camper, counselor can provide reminders for application.
- Campers will be outside for no more than 30 minutes during the peak heat of the day.
- If outdoors for more than 10 minutes, counselors will pause the group activity for water breaks every 10 minutes.
Can you put sunscreen on my camper?
ALL CAMPERS are to arrive at camp with sunscreen applied. If you feel that your child needs an EXTRA application during the camp day, please pack sunscreen stick or spray in your camper’s backpack, and they are welcome to reapply it themselves.
What are the staff requirements and where do you recruit your staff from?
Our pledge is to put your children in the company of the most trustworthy, loving, and capable adults we can hire: directors, counselors, and support staff who are well suited to the task of caring for campers. The effort we put into screening and selecting our staff is part of that pledge. Our staff work with your children in the context off a visible, well scrutinized environment that has many built-in checks and balances. Counselors are supervised by the Camp Directors guided by clear, firm policies regarding behavior. Their actions are visible to co-workers and campers.
All of our camp directors are certified teachers currently working in the classroom. Our college instructors come from the best local and out-of-state universities and colleges. Each employee experiences an intense background and reference check. Our goal is to hire as many science, math, engineering, computer science and education majors as we can.
Our support staff (Jr. Counselors, Director’s Assistants) are at a minimum high school upperclassmen, but also include college students and certified educators.
All staff are thoroughly background checked and receive training on sexual abuse awareness training.
How do you train your employees?
Employees receive extensive training before the camp season begins. The training includes Club SciKidz’s Camp Staff Training Package, where we provide frontline staff with foundational knowledge in the areas of camp-centered leadership, creating community, reducing injuries and illness, bullying prevention, risk management, and recognizing and reporting child abuse.
What is your camper to staff ratio?
We try to keep our ratio as close to 10 campers : 1 instructor as possible (or 9:1 for the PreK & Kinder campers). We realize that smaller classes allow campers additional one-on-one attention. Many of our programs are designed to accommodate both beginners and advanced learners.
Do you have insurance?
Club SciKidz camps are blanketed with a variety of insurance policies.
What is your medication policy?
If your child has to be given prescription medications at camp, you & your child’s Dr. must complete our medical form and email/fax us the completed form, or bring it to camp on the first day. All medications must be given to our Camp Director at check-in. The medication must be in original prescription containers that identify the prescribing physician, the name of the medication, the dosage, and the frequency of administration. The medication will be dispensed by the camp director as instructed by you and your child’s doctor.
Campers are not permitted to keep any medication during the day, or self-administer items such as cough drops, ointments etc. If your child needs such items, please stop by during the camp day and administer yourself. This policy also includes Epi-Pens. All Epi-Pens (or similar type medications) will be stored in a safe location by the director. Parents are responsible for picking up all prescription medications from the director on Friday.
Can I tour the camp facility before my child’s week of camp starts?
Unfortunately, we do not move into our camp facilities until the weekend before our session begins, so tours are not available. Once camp is in session, we are unable to offer tours due to the safety and security measures in place for our campers. You are of course welcome to drive around any specific facility if you want to look at their campus. If you have any questions about specific facility concerns, please contact us at hello@clubscikidzdallas.com.
Can I observe a camp day or sit in on my child’s class?
Club SciKidz does not permit non-campers (parents or unregistered students) to sit in on courses. We require all of our employees to undergo thorough background and reference checks. We understand that parents are very interested in what their children are doing at camp and have therefore have committed to take photos & video of campers during the camp day. We will compile these into a video for each location and share this video to parents each week. This provides parents with an opportunity to view their camper’s projects and get a better understanding of their child’s camp experience.
Food/Special Needs
Can I eat lunch with my child at camp?
For your child’s safety, parents are not permitted to eat lunch with their child at camp. We do not currently have the ability to do realtime background checks on visitors, so for that reason visitors are not permitted.
Parents can temporarily check out their child for lunch (with the Family PIN) and go sit elsewhere on the campus to enjoy lunch together.
Are Club SciKidz camps appropriate for children with special needs?
Club SciKidz instructors are trained to handle special circumstances to a limited extent. We have found that if children are able to function without an aide or assistance at school, they generally do very well at camp. Please feel free to discuss any helpful tips or accommodations that have helped your child be successful at school with your child’s camp director.
If your child does require an aide or other assistance at school, you must ensure that an aide accompanies your child to camp. All aides must be at least 18 years of age and not related to the camper. Over the years we have had many children with special needs and they usually do very well. However, if for some reason it is determined that camp is not a suitable for your child, the total tuition for camp is non-refundable per our cancellation policy. Please call us if you have any additional questions at 214-530-5979.
Do you provide any meals or snacks at your camps?
Club SciKidz does not provide any food service to campers. Parents should be sure to pack a snack and drink for the morning and lunch and a drink for the lunch hour. In addition, if your child is enrolled in the Post Camp service, it is advisable to pack an extra drink and snack.
Some camps do have lessons that involve various food items (we do our best to avoid peanuts/peanut products). If your child has specific dietary restrictions, please notify your child’s camp director at check-in on Monday, or request more information at hello@cskdallas.com. You can also add a note to your child’s registration online (under “medical issues” or “special requests”) to clarify your child’s restrictions. We do our absolute best to honor your requests.
Campers may also receive special “treat” food items occasionally during the week, such as 1 piece of candy for winning a game, or popsicles on Friday. Any “treat” food items do not contain peanuts, as we are a peanut-free zone. We also provide non-food treats as an option for campers (such as stickers, pencils, trinkets etc).
What if my child has specific allergy or health needs?
During online registration, please list all allergies and medical concerns that our staff needs to know. This will only be visible to the camp admin team and your child’s counselors.
If your child has to be given prescription medications at camp, you must fill out our medical form and email/fax us the completed form, or bring it to camp on the first day.
Some camps do have lessons that involve various food items (we do our absolute best to avoid peanuts/peanut products). We also ask all parents to not pack peanut products in lunches as we do our best to be a “Peanut Free Zone”. If your child has specific restrictions, please notify your child’s camp director at check-in on Monday, or request more information at hello@cskdallas.com. We are happy to email you a list of food items for a specific camp theme to help you decide if it’s a good fit for your camper.

What is your cancellation policy?
2023 FLEXIBLE CANCELLATION POLICY
Please note that all camp transfer/cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to hello@cskdallas.com
If you enroll in camp and your plans change, you can cancel and receive a refund or credit according to our policy. Our policy encourages early decisions so as not to affect other customers or our ability to efficiently deliver our programs. It is also based on the fact that supplies are purchased for your child in early Spring. Because we cover Active’s registration fees for you, each registration cancellation will incur a $35 cancellation fee (per camp) to cover administrative costs. There are no exceptions.
CAMP TRANSFER:
If your child is not able to attend their scheduled camp week(s), we recommend trying to transfer their registration(s) to a different week or location. The new camp week(s) must be within the same summer season, and must have availability. All transfer requests must be submitted least 1 week before the camp’s start date. We cannot process a transfer within 1 week of the start date or after a camp week has begun.
Click HERE to check availability. Once you have determined your new selection(s), email us at hello@clubscikidzdallas.com with the subject line “Transfer Request.” Be sure to include your camper’s full name and complete details about which camp registration(s) to transfer.
Example: “Please transfer John Smith’s camp “Master Minecraft Coder” the week of June 13 at Willow Bend Church to camp “Great Masters” the week of June 27 at Walnut Hill UMC.”
CAMP CANCELLATION:
If you are not able to make a transfer work with your schedule (see above), you can cancel for a partial refund according to the timetable below. As described above, the cancellation fee of $35 PER CAMP REGISTRATION applies to every cancellation and is not refundable at any time.
CANCELLATION DEADLINES | Cancel Between 12/15-3/31 | Cancel Between 4/1-5/31 | Cancel June 1 or Later |

ILLNESS/INJURY: if your child has an unexpected illness (ex: flu/strep/Covid etc) or injury (ex: broken leg) that prevents them from attending the entire week of camp, please contact us immediately. After a Dr.’s note is provided, 75% of the camp tuition (less the $35 fee) will be credited to your account for the following summer.
Account credits are valid for 1 year, can be used for any Club SciKidz Dallas camps; and can be used for any member of your family. You will receive first access to register for the upcoming season if you have an account credit on file.
It is camp policy that no refunds will be made in connection with late arrivals, early withdrawals, a camper not liking their camp’s theme, or camp dismissals due to misconduct. Missed days of camp are not refunded or transferred (e.g. missed Friday and want to come back next week for a day. However, we will do our best to provide you with any materials missed, such as robots, when applicable).
All transfer/cancellation requests must be submitted to hello@clubscikidzdallas.com.
Example: “Please cancel John Smith’s camp “Master Minecraft Coder” the week of June 13 at Willow Bend Church as he is unable to attend.”
You will receive an automated email from Active once any changes have been processed. Please verify that all camp change details are reflected correctly. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to ask!
Are there any scholarships available?
Every year Club SciKidz Dallas makes available a number of scholarships for our camps with our two different scholarship programs: the Shelby Jean Scholarship and the MJ Graves Scholarship. One scholarship application per family, please!
The Shelby Jean Scholarships are awarded to families that need financial assistance providing the camp experience for their children. Please click HERE for the application.
The MJ Graves Scholarship is a scholarship awarded to a camper interested in attending a video game/coding themed camp. Please click HERE for the application.
All applications are due by March 1 and the recipients will be notified via email by April 1.
What are the age groups for your camps?
Our current camp offerings are designed for three different age groups of campers:
- Camps for children going into PreK4 & Kindergarten
- Camps for children going into 1st-3rd grades
- Camps for children going into 4th-7th grades
Our age groups are done by “rising grades”, so this means you will select the camp age group based on the grade your child is entering next fall. Please note that children entering PK3 in the fall are not eligible to attend, as our PreK & Kindergarten camps are designed for 4 and 5 year olds (must be 4 before their week of summer camp, and must be completely potty trained).
Club SciKidz carefully considers the grade range for each course as we receive feedback from our instructors, parents, and campers. Our policy is to keep campers in their grade-level appropriate camps.
Example: If you see a camp for grades 1-3 and your child is currently in second grade and will be a third grader in the fall, you can register your child for that camp.
Can you make an exception to your age requirements?
Since we have taken into account many considerations in matching our age groups and camp themes, it is generally best for the child to adhere to those requirements. Please remember that an age group contains not only a certain intellectual and skill set, but also a certain level of social maturity. These requirements allow Club SciKidz to meet the needs of each camper. We generally do not recommend bumping your child up to the next age group if they are not old enough. For example, a rising 3rd grader may be very advanced at coding; but may struggle socially/emotionally if placed in a 4th-7th grade level coding camp.
Campers must be at least 4 years old on the start date of their camp (or enrolled in a PreK4 age class for the upcoming school year). Campers who are entering PreK3 are not eligible. All campers must be completely potty trained as our staff cannot assist in the restrooms.
If you do decide to bump your child up an age group, please be aware of our refund policy. Transferring after the week of camp has started, to a different camp due to age appropriateness or skill level, must take place within that same week of camp and is contingent on availability in the newly desired camp. We will do our best to accommodate these situations but we may have limited options when all camps are sold out. There is also a $10 transfer fee for all camp transfers.
What are the hours of the camp?
The camp hours are from 9:00am to 4:00pm. You may drop off your child no earlier than 9:00am and pickup no later than 4:00pm unless you have paid for the Pre or Post camp care.
Half-Day campers are to be picked up at 1:00pm as there is no Post camp services available for them. The half day option is only available for PreK & Kindergarten camps.
Do you provide Pre and Post camp services?
We have extended care services at all of our locations. The cost is $30.00 per week for Pre Camp care, which starts at 8:00 am. Post Camp care runs from 4:00pm – 5:30 pm and costs $45.00 dollars per week. Campers that are picked up later than 5:30 pm will incur additional charges at the rate of $1.00 per minute. Please do not drop your child off before 8am, we are not staffed to care for campers earlier than 8am.
In a pinch, you can pay the daily rate (divide weekly rate by 5) that morning if you just need services for that day. All parents should make sure they record the Director’s phone extension # in case they need to communicate with the camp site.

They will have recess after lunch but will miss our afternoon outdoor component and 2 science lessons. But, they will receive three science sessions in the morning (two science lessons and 1 morning demo).
If they are already going to school, or going to school in the fall, we highly recommend the full day camp. Most campers in this age group opt for Full Day camp. If you register for Half Day, and you desire to switch to Full Day once the camp week has started, please let the director know. We can pro-rate the remaining days.
Are there outside activities?
Campers do have an outdoor recess period for 30 minutes each day. Other camps may do specific lessons outside at the counselors’ discretion.
When can my child be dropped-off and picked up from camp?
The camp hours are from 9:00am to 4:00pm. You may drop off your child no earlier than 9:00am and pickup no later than 4:00pm unless you have paid for the Pre or Post camp services.
Pre-Camp campers may be dropped off no earlier than 8am. Our staff is preparing for the day and cannot accept children before 8am.
Post-Camp campers may be picked up as late as 5:30pm. A late fee will be assessed for campers picked up after 5:30 as Club SciKidz makes every effort to respect our employees’ personal time.
Half-Day campers are to be picked up at 1:00pm as there is no Post camp service available for them. The half day option is only available for PreK & Kindergarten camps.
Do you take credit cards?
We accept all credit and debit cards using our online registration service. To register, go to our registration page by clicking on “Enroll”. Every camp registration must be completed and paid for using our online registration system. We are able to accept checks and cash at our camp locations to pay for t-shirts and extended day services only.
Waitlist Policy
The camp I want is full, is there a waitlist?
YES! It’s free to register your child for the waitlist.
How do I add my child to a camp’s waitlist?
Follow the prompts on our registration page to setup your family account and complete the “checkout” process (no payment is required). You’ll immediately receive a confirmation email after checkout is complete. If you don’t receive this, check your junk/spam folder first, and then contact us at hello@clubscikidzdallas.com if you still can’t locate it.
What are the odds that my child will get a spot in a camp?
Unfortunately, there is no way for us to predict the likelihood of a spot becoming available for your child in a specific camp. Some camps have multiple spots become available over the course of the spring/summer, and other camps never have a spot open up. There’s no rhyme or reason to it! Last summer, over 100 campers were registered from the waitlists.
When will I know if my child got a spot in the camp?
You will receive an automated email from Active, called a “Registration Invitation,” if something opens up for your child. Unfortunately, we don’t know when this might happen. It may be months before camp starts, or it might be days (or even hours!) before the camp begins. If you haven’t heard from Active, assume that nothing is available yet, and keep your fingers crossed! Generally, your child’s chances of getting a spot decrease as we get closer to the start date- but nothing is impossible! We occasionally have no-shows and call parents the morning of camp.
I have 2 children on one camp’s waitlist. Will two spots open up?
Typically, spots become available one at a time. You will receive an email from Active that displays the name of your camper who is eligible to accept the spot. If you enroll one child, there is no guarantee that a spot will open up in that camp for the other child.
If you simultaneously receive 2 emails, each with a different camper name, then there are 2 open spots in that camp- hooray!
Can you tell me what position in line my child is on the waitlist?
Because of the constant activity on the waitlists (names are added and/or removed daily as Active automatically fills an opening), and the sheer volume of campers on waitlists, we are not able to provide status updates on your child’s position on the list.
Additionally, the position in line is also fairly irrelevant as so much depends on the timing of an opening coming available. We’ve had campers who are #1 in line who never got a spot in the camp. We’ve also had campers who were #14 in line get a spot, because campers #1-13 had already made alternate plans by the time that the opening occurred. Campers are often on multiple waitlists for different camps and we unfortunately cannot predict the likelihood of your camper getting a spot. Last summer, we had over 1,000 campers on waitlists and over 10% of them did end up getting a spot in a camp. As a general rule, your child’s chances of getting a spot do diminish as we get closer to the camp’s start date, but last second openings do occur.
Can you tell me if my friend’s child is on a specific waitlist?
Unfortunately, due to privacy concerns, we cannot discuss other campers’ registration details. Please coordinate registration details with your friend.
What happens when a spot becomes available for my child?
If there is more than 3 days until the camp’s start date, you will receive an automated email from Active. Make sure your best contact info is up to date in your Active account! You will have exactly 24 hours to accept the spot. If you accept and complete the registration for the spot, payment is due in full upon acceptance. You will receive a registration confirmation email from Active. If you miss the deadline to enroll but want the spot, there is nothing we can do except add your camper back to the waitlist at your request, at the end of the line.
If you don’t accept the spot before the deadline, your child will automatically be removed from that waitlist, and the spot will be offered to the next child in line. You will receive an email from Active showing removal from the waitlist. Make sure our emails from Active.com aren’t ending up in your junk/spam folder!
If there is 3 days (or less) until the camp’s start date, we will email the entire waitlist, and then award the spot to the first person who responds.
My child is on a waitlist but is now unavailable to attend that camp. What do I need to do?
Please notify us at hello@clubscikidzdallas.com and we’ll remove your child from the waitlist. You’ll receive a confirmation email when the process is completed in our system.

How can I add Pre-Camp, Post-Camp or a T-shirt to my order?
Pre-Camp care is $30/week
Post-Camp care is $45/week
Extra T-shirts: $12 each (1 is included in each registration, but you may want to purchase extras if your camper is in a very messy camp. Campers are required to wear their t-shirt every day to prevent ruined clothing, and as an added campus security measure.)
If your child’s camp week has NOT started yet, please login to your Family Account to make these changes.
If your child’s camp week has ALREADY STARTED, please email us at: hello@clubscikidzdallas.com to request these changes.

**CAMP TRANSFERS & CANCELLATIONS**:
You must always contact us by email to request these account changes. We cannot process transfers or cancellations over the phone or via voicemail. Please carefully review our Cancellation Policy prior to your email. All transfers & cancellation requests must be submitted by 5pm the Friday before your child’s camp week begins.
What is the Camp Welcome Packet?
The Camper Welcome Packet is a PDF containing very specific information about preparing for our camps. The packet delivers specific information about required forms, extended hours, fees, Tax ID #, what you should and should NOT bring to camp, our medication policy, etc.
This document is linked in pre-camp emails sent in late spring & summer.
Can I transfer a camp or site location?
If your child is not able to attend their scheduled camp week(s), we recommend trying to transfer their registration(s) to a different week or location. The new camp week(s) must be within the same summer season, and must have availability. The deadline for all transfer requests is 5pm Friday before the camp’s start date. We cannot process a transfer after a camp week has begun.
Camps and Curriculum
Do campers have naptime/rest time?
No, our campers do not take naps or have rest time. Our days are jam-packed with FUN! We do offer a half-day option (9am-1pm) for our PreK & Kinder campers who may not be ready for a full day of camp.
What new camps are you offering this year?
We are THRILLED to offer 5 NEW CAMPS for summer 2022!

- 1st- 3rd Graders: Eco Explorer, Dash & Dot Robotics, and Marvel Moviemaker
- 4th- 7th Graders: Great Masters
These new camps are sure to sell out fast! Questions? Email us at hello@cskdallas.com.
What does my child need to bring for Minecraft camps?
Camp “Adventures in Minecraft Game Design” (1st-3rd Graders) & Camp “Master Minecraft Coder” (4th-7th Graders)
All Minecraft campers are required to have an account for this camp. The correct game account to purchase is Minecraft: JAVA EDITION™ ($26.95) HERE. You may need to setup a free Microsoft account as part of the purchase process. We apologize for any inconvenience but this is Minecraft’s requirement, not ours.
Campers must bring their desktop account login (username & password) when they come to camp. We recommend writing it on a piece of paper and putting it in their backpack or lunchbox, where they know to look.
**The “Minecraft: JAVA EDITION” is NOT the same Minecraft game account that your camper uses on iPads, consoles like XBOX, or mobile devices. We use the Java Edition in our camp curriculum, which is designed for desktops. Campers generally discover that they like Minecraft: JAVA EDITION better than the mobile versions because there is more functionality and creativity in the game. Minecraft is owned by Microsoft and they require you to purchase a separate account for different game editions.
Post Camp Questions
What is your tax ID#?
Our Tax ID# is 47-4351273.
You can login to your Family Account on our Home Page and view your account statement. Click “View Past Programs” and then “View Bill Details,” and that should contain all information needed for tax purposes.
Can I receive a tax write off when I register my child for summer camp?
If you’re registering a student under the age of 13 and they’re attending a day camp this summer, you may be able to apply paid tuition toward child and dependent care credit.
This is what the IRS website says.
“The cost of day camp can count as an expense towards the child and dependent care credit. Expenses for overnight camps do not qualify. The credit is generally 20% to 35% of non-reimbursed expenses; up to $3000 in expenses for one child and up to $6000 for two or more children. The actual credit is also based on your income.”
Please note: Club SciKidz does not offer tax advice. Consult your accountant or tax professional before filing. Your employer may have established a Flexible Spending Account, consult your HR Department to see if your plan covers day camps.
