Lego Robotics with Mindstorm EV3

Ages: 9-13

Cost: $410/ week (Mon-Fri 9-4pm)

**Formerly known as Advanced Robotics with LEGO EV3**

Using LEGO’s EV3 Education Set, campers are introduced to robotics with Legos and the Lego Mindstorms Software. Campers will work as scientists and engineers as they progress though a set of lessons, challenges, and projects that fully integrate science, technology, engineering, and math concepts while prompting creative problem solving, communication, and teamwork.

Campers will learn the basics of gears to help them apply physical science and math principles to build effective robots. They will also progress through a series of missions in which they investigate, observe, calculate, and apply their knowledge to solve specific tasks. Campers will use the different sensors and motors in the EV3 Education Set to program their robots to solve different challenges such as following a line, using a touch sensor and learning about sound using an ultrasonic sensor. Campers will learn the basic blocks of programming such as loop blocks, wait blocks, switch blocks and movement blocks.

Our engineers will conduct research as they explore, plan, and develop challenges as engineers and scientists. Campers will learn the basics of programming and algorithms using the software to program their robots in a week of robotics and programming!

Please note, this is a generalized daily scheduled so actual lesson times and activity duration may vary slightly. Campers will complete 15-20 lessons each week depending on the theme and the rate in which campers complete each lesson. You can view the Activity Sheets in your camp information email that will be sent out the week prior to camp. 

Hours & Fees

Camp Hours vary by location, please check your campus details carefully.  The majority of locations operate Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm.  We also offer optional Pre Camp care ($30/wk), starting at 8am, and Post Camp care ($45/wk) which ends at 5:30pm, at select campuses.

Camps start at $410/week for Full Day Camps.  The Half Day camp option is available for ages 4-5 only, and is $300/week.
